How does sailor moon transform

While these wings only appear when Usagi is Serenity, it is unclear if this is a natural ability for the princess or if it is triggered when she interacts with specific beings and objects, like Helios and the Sword of Sealing.

This crystal is one of the most powerful artifacts in the universe. It can recall memories, revive the dead, transform monsters into humans, heal people, fend off dark energy, reach the furthest corners of the galaxy and create energy blasts and protective shields.

In the episode, Tuxedo Mask jumps in front of a shard to protect Sailor Moon, dying as a result. However, Usagi cries for him, and her tear summons the Rainbow Crystals to her. These crystals mix with her tear and form the Silver Crystal. The Silver Crystal reveals Sailor Moon to be the princess, returns Usagi and Tuxedo Mask's memories, revives Tuxedo Mask and incapacitates Zoisite in the following episode, proving to be an impressive weapon, despite being hidden in a year-old girl.

An on going joke in the anime is that Usagi is a cry baby. Far from being a cool and collected soldier, Sailor Moon isn't one to hide her emotions, and it is clear when she is under duress. However, her emotions are often a positive, with her tears saving the day on several occasions. Tuxedo Mask appears to tell her that, "crying isn't going to solve any of your problems;" however, it's her wailing moments later that incapacitates Morga, giving Usagi a window to destroy her.

Full Sailor Moon takes seconds and inners and outers about And we often see Usagi and inners transform together, so, logically, Usagi should transforming longer, but it takes them same amount of time. And Starlights. They have 2 variants of their transformations, different lenght, again. So, I think transformations are not completly instant, but also not as long as we see it.

And it takes 5 seconds max. Oh, and why they are not attacked during transformations? As for not being attacked when transforming: At the end of the first manga arc, the four senshi specifically state they will use their strongest power, their power of transformation, to revive Sailor Moon. There are several cutaways to her face with her making comments about bright the light is.

I have always thought the transformations are instantaneous. During the 90s anime transformations, they often float in the air. My former hs students in Japan often got hazukashii when I just asked them to read something aloud or tell me an answer. Usagi was just hazukashii to change in front of Mamoru, for whom in top she had kind of mixed feelings. Most certainly not because she is afraid to show off her breasts or lady bits.

And Berthiere is only surprised because Ami changed into a Sailor Senshi, not because she pieced together her uniform. But when your body is just covered by a prism effect, I think any person would find it embarrassing to be basically standing behind a shower curtain in front of a person you like. I am at work and should NOT be on this website right now but first and foremost I would like to say that I have also wanted to contribute in some way to the Sailor Moon questions and thought about starting a blog!

I personally think that people see them in pretty much real time, but that it is a lot faster to the in universe viewer. Us as an audience sees portions of it in slow motion and then back to original time in some portions and back to slow motions in some parts.

Does that make sense? So the audience member can catch all the intricate things happening. But to the person viewing it in the universe it happens faster. It happens super quickly in a flash of light. Then of course there are many instances where Chibi-Moon transforms and it happens rather quickly with the shiny heart ribbons just surrounding her quickly, like when she trips and falls under a log.

Another time that comes to mind in S is in the third season of Crystal where Ami jumps out the window so cool and calls out her transformation phrase and lands in the water and shoots up. It all happens very fast. His response was golden. To attack then would be suicidal. We have to remember that this is anime, where someone can leap into the air, throw an attack, and people can have entire conversations about that attack before the person even lands.

Anime exaggerates and stretches out scenes to add suspense and drama, and I think we as the viewers are expected to suspend our disbelief during these moments. Because, lets be frank. I have a hard time rationalizing that every single monster of the day is stupid enough to just sit and wait while Usagi does a thousand poses and twirls before she vaporizes them.

The same goes for henshins. Maybe this happens during their henshins too, so Usagi was embarrassed to do it in front of Mamoru for that reason. Even for this show it would be too ridiculous. The only option I feel inclined to dismiss entirely is 2: the transformation does happen there and then. Anytime they show other characters expressions or whatever else cut into the transformation scenes, its for dramatic effect and nothing else. It doesnt make sense to think otherwise, look at the scenes where all the scouts transform simultaneously but we have to watch each sequence separately, if the transformations werent instantaneous, then the scouts would be standing around the entire time waiting for each others transformation to finish before starting their own.

In the Manga the transformations are pretty much instantaneous. I think the transformation sequences that we see, is purely for viewers.

The nail polish and lipstick were promoted by Bandai. They would be at their most vulnerable during henshin. Episode depicts how I believe the transformation is seen from others. Haruka reacted. In the anime, she explicitly starts to lose her previous powers after a Daimon, a monster-of-the-day, attacks her brooch. With the help of the Holy Grail, Usagi is also able to transform into Super Sailor Moon , which gives her a tremendous increase of her powers.

After she sacrifices the Grail in a bid to save Hotaru, she is able once again to unlock this form with the help of the other Scouts sharing their powers with her. She was able to use this form to save Hotaru. However, it should be noted that this is one of the few times, in the anime, at least, where Sailor Moon wasn't the one to take on the main villain of the arc, Pharaoh Instead, Sailor Saturn appeared to be the one to save the day, not to mention destroying Mistress Nine from within.

Even in the manga, Sailor Saturn was the one to defeat Pharaoh 90 , although there he seemed to have been sealed away instead of destroyed. Then again, it could be less Sailor Moon, or Super Sailor Moon, being unable to take on the villain and more it just being Sailor Saturn's time to shine. In the manga, she also had to transform into Neo-Queen Serenity to heal the damage done to the city, suggesting she couldn't have done the job as a mere Sailor Scout.

In the anime, Usagi gets this new transformation from her mother, Queen Serenity , after her previous powers seem to fail against the Cardians, with one even managing to destroy her brooch. She notably obtains "Moon Princess Halation.

Usagi was once again shown to have retained her healing powers in this form, being able to transform the Four Spectre Sisters into normal humans, in the anime version of the story. She didn't even need a special spell or attack to accomplish this, just wish for it using the Silver Crystal. Admittedly, in the final battle against the Death Phantom, Sailor Moon did have to transform into Neo-Queen Serenity, but this could be seen as her future self giving a helping hand.

And while the other Sailor Scouts shared their power with her, this could have just been a precaution. This transformation also gave Usagi an advantage against natural disasters, since she was able to break down a rockslide and save Chibiusa's dinosaur friends using the Cutie Moon Rod.

As mentioned, a Daimon was able to destroy the brooch , but it's a little unclear if this was exclusive towards this transformation or something that could have happened to any brooch, as it also happened to her Prism Power brooch. This is one of the few times Usagi once again had healing powers, being able to change Phages back into normal human beings, using her attack, "Starlight Honeymoon Therapy Kiss.
